Measures: suspend wine & aguardiente sales except from Mission San Gabriel; after 8 pm no riding through the pueblo unless working. Finding: Valencia resisted justice, struck alcalde Guillermo Soto, and wounded Capitán Varela with a spur — all from drink; fiscal asks the Gob. for an exemplary punishment.
