How to cite this document
Pío Pico & Covarrubias, Los Ángeles, 1845-07-12, Departmental State Papers, Los Angeles (Decrees & Despatches), Vol. IX, 249–250, Archives of California, C-A 36, Bancroft Library, University of California, Berkeley. [the tomo is given as the volume’s full range: this entry has not been resolved to a single tomo within Vol. IX]Cite the document by series, tomo and original tomo page, as the literature does; the C-A number locates it in the repository. To cite this catalogue entry itself, use https://archivesofcalifornia.com/record/ca36/ca36-d95.htmlThe originals of these records burned in the 1906 San Francisco fire. What survives is Thomas Savage’s 1870s copy, and this page describes that copy.
