'Sobre sueldos de ofic.s'. Reports that Comisario Herrera has warned him that if the Comandante General has ordered two thirds pay paid to Tente Martinez, it must come out of the Comandante's own pocket, 'pues no reconocera ningun abono a oficial cuyo despacho no haya sido revalidado como lo prescribe la orden del Supmo Gobo' [since he will allow no credit to an officer whose commission has not been revalidated]. Herrera holds that the Comandante General issued that order against the express orders of the Comisaria, and that if the Comisario Subalterno obeys it in contempt of the Comisaria's, 'debera esperar que esos abonos no se le pongan en la data de su cuenta' [he must expect those payments to be disallowed in his account].
