Abstract spans n461-n462. [= that the commander of the American company, Joaquin Joven, arrived from San José with 4 men and is marching for San Gabriel]. 'Joaquin Joven' is very likely the Hispanicised name of an American trapping-party captain [Ewing Young?] but I have not confirmed it. spans n461-n462
