“Sobre las renuncias de los jueces.” + Savage's own editorial parenthetical: “(aquí siguen las dichas renuncias Rodriguez la funda en su mucha familia y su falta de bienes y Cordero en otro tanto y su poca energía)” = the resignations themselves follow — Rodríguez grounds his on his large family and want of means, Cordero on the same plus his own lack of energy. Note the addressee: Santa Bárbara reports to the Prefect of the 2nd District.
