How to cite this document
S. Argüello to Secretario, San Diego, 1845-11-24, Departmental State Papers, Benicia, p.ii.376–377, Archives of California, C-A 42, Bancroft Library, University of California, Berkeley. [the tomo is given as the volume’s full range: this entry has not been resolved to a single tomo within Prefecturas y Juzgados I–VI]Cite the document by series, tomo and original tomo page, as the literature does; the C-A number locates it in the repository. To cite this catalogue entry itself, use https://archivesofcalifornia.com/record/ca42/ca42-d334.htmlThe originals of these records burned in the 1906 San Francisco fire. What survives is Thomas Savage’s 1870s copy, and this page describes that copy.
