How to cite this document
R. Arispe, Secretaria de Estado to authorities (circular of appointment), Mexico [City], 1833-04-27, Departmental State Papers, San José, I–III, p. 508, Archives of California, C-A 44, Bancroft Library, University of California, Berkeley. [the tomo is given as the volume’s full range: this entry has not been resolved to a single tomo within I–III]Cite the document by series, tomo and original tomo page, as the literature does; the C-A number locates it in the repository. To cite this catalogue entry itself, use https://archivesofcalifornia.com/record/ca44/ca44-d330.htmlThe originals of these records burned in the 1906 San Francisco fire. What survives is Thomas Savage’s 1870s copy, and this page describes that copy.
