Verbatim: «autorizando al Gobno. para nombrar en las Aduanas Maritimas y de frontera, los empleados necesarios y con las dotaciones q. juzgase por convenientes, con tal q. el maximum no excediese de $8,000 anuales.» Gloss: government empowered to appoint the necessary employees in the maritime and frontier custom houses at such salaries as it thinks fit, the maximum not to exceed 8,000 pesos a year.
