Superior Government State Papers, Benicia, tomo XIX–XXI · BANC MSS C-A 58, document 34

Previously uncatalogued — recovered by the 2026-08-27 coverage audit: the document lay inside the declared span of a grouped entry covering n28-n39, which had passed every completeness check while concealing it. Heading verbatim: '+ 1828 = Abril 25 = México. / Echeandía al Comandante Militar de Monterey. / Decreto.' [= 1828, April 25, Mexico. Echeandia to the Military Commandant of Monterey. Decree.] Abstract as written: 'Que los derechos causados por los géneros, frutos y efectos importados por Huatulco, pueden asegurarse en la Comisaría Gral. de Oaxaca.' That the duties incurred on goods, produce and effects imported through Huatulco may be secured at the Comisaria General of Oaxaca. This is the Huatulco ruling the band summary names, here with its date, parties and cite for the first time. Caveat I am not resolving: the heading gives the place as Mexico while naming Echeandia, who was in California; I report the line as written and draw no conclusion.
