[= Session of 14 January 1832 (Los Angeles): the substitute deputy Torva presents himself] Verbatim: 'Se presentó el Diputado Suplente Tomas Torva, quien prestó el juramtº. antes de este acto, ante el Ayuntº. de la Ciudad; se le pidió su credencial pª examinarla y dijo qe. se le habia estraviado; en seguida se le leyeron pr. el srio. todas las actas desde el dia 10 pª qe. quedase impuesto de lo practicado pr. la Diputacion.' The substitute deputy is seated although his credential is lost, and the secretary reads him every acta since 10 January. Bears on the legality question that the Diputación's opponents later pressed.
