(Docts en inglés) THE ROSS-SALE PRICE STATED: after the annihilation of the Ross establishment, all the cattle, lands & buildings were sold to Sutter for $30,000, of which only $3,812.71 has been paid on account; the sale was made with the knowledge of the Mexican govt; the govt having now changed, asks aid & protection so the Russian-American Company loses nothing; + Moerenhout's reply (1 Jan 1847) that in Stockton's absence he received the communication brought by Capt. Harder of the brig 'Constantine' re the Company's claim against Sutter, & that per the district's civil officer J.B. Montgomery, the bad organization of the laws prevents action, so a special tribunal must inform on Sutter's true situation — ⚑ the Russian-California literature Ross-sale price & unpaid balance
