✎✓ RE-READ AT FULL RESOLUTION 2026-09-24 and COLLATED against Vancouver's English original (Lamb, *A Voyage of Discovery*, IV). Británica: no reclamo los tres…"* ⭐⭐⭐ THE COLLATION RESULT: **Savage is faithful on every checkable point** — names, all three dates, the ship, and critically the category. Vancouver wrote *"a British **convict**"*; Savage renders it *"un **Reo** ingles"* and again *"el **reo**… llamado Tomas Smith"*. **The word was in Savage all along.** ⚠ It was THIS CATALOG ENTRY that dropped it, along with the Argüello attribution, and that misspelt Landon as "Lanson". Corrected. The three not claimed are the Dec 1792 *Daedalus* deserters; Vancouver will lay an itemised account before the Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty in London. (Spanish translation tied to Brig. Álava.) ⭐ Thomas Smith is identified in the *Discovery*/*Chatham* musters (Lamb, App. 8) as a **convict who escaped from New South Wales in the *Daedalus***.

Full-resolution re-read of n159. He also writes “he sido informado p.r el S.r Argüello”, and spells the name “Diego LANDON”.
