Provincial State Papers, tomo XII–XIII · BANC MSS C-A 7, document 375

Criminal case vs the gentile Indian *Anti* (killed the Christian Indian Félix of Mission del Rosario, Baja): the Auditor de Guerra finds the ordinary penalty inapplicable (no corpus delicti / full process possible in 'aquellos países'; Anti's 'rusticidad' & sincere confession) — recommends release + a year's corrective service at the Presidio del Rosario, instructed in religion; lays down that native criminal cases be governed by the Army ordinances (citing Félix Colón de Larriátegui's *Juzgados Militares de España y sus Indias*) (see E21)
