Juan Bautista de Anza a emprender el descubrimiento de la ruta terrestre vía los ríos Colorado y Gila (= la expedición de Anza de 1774). Ordena a Rivera destacar partidas que exploren la tierra para auxiliar aquella expedición y dar cuenta de sus operaciones
