Sobre escala de la nao de Filipinas (galeón de Manila) en Monterey y San Francisco, y recomienda el desarrollo de la agricultura con ese fin en la Nueva Cal. El Rey (por Gálvez, 16 May últ.) avisó que, para facilitar el viaje de la nao de Filipinas y fomentar los establecimientos de la Alta Cal., ordenó al Gob. de Manila que las naos en sus derrotas recalen y entren de tránsito en los puertos de Monterey o San Francisco. Previene que al tiempo de la recalada haya víveres y provisiones dispuestas — trigo, maíz, frijol, otras semillas y cría de todo tipo de ganado — para socorrer las naos y ahorrar los caudales del Rey de la larga navegación
