- Previously read orig_page: 'p.290'; summary: 'Grants Alférez of Compañía de Caballería del Presidio de Loreto the salary of Abanderado de la Guardia. pp. 713–14'. Leaf read: 168036075_79_13_2 n294 (scale 2, plus a scale-1 crop of the operative line). / pp. 713-14". SUMMARY WRONG: the grant is the pay of an ALABARDERO (halberdier) of the Viceroy's guard — read at scale 1, "el sueldo de Alabardero de la Guardia d[e dicho Virey]" — not "Abanderado" (standard-bearer), a different post; the abstract also drops "de dicho Virey" and "en vista de su solicitud". ORIG_PAGE WRONG: the leaf foots "pp. 713-14" (the catalogue put that in the summary text instead); the recorded "p.290" is the pencil foliation at the head of n294. savage_page OK: printed stamp on the leaf is 293. date and scan_pin confirmed at the leaf. place PARTIAL: field blank, though "Mex" is carried inside the author string. Omissions OK — everything on the leaf is catalogued (d324 continuation ending p.710; d328 Junio 7 Sueldos de oficiales p.711; d327).
The originals of these records burned in the 1906 San Francisco fire. What survives is Thomas Savage’s 1870s copy, and this page describes that copy.
