Fiscal de Real Hacienda to Viceroy Marquina (16 Nov 1801): «Pedim.to de pago de $11. 3 r.s 9 g.s á un cabo, p.r valor de cartuchos» — that an order issue to the Gov. of California to pay Cabo 2º de Artillería José Osorio 11 pesos 3 reales 9 granos, the value of 64 cartridges missing from the pertrechos of the Monterey garrison, which he had paid for himself (p.328; copia certificada Ximénez, Méx. 19 Nov.). Preceded by the Asesor General's like opinion of 31 Oct 1801 and the resolution on the shortfall in the delivery of 2º Cabo de Artillería José Osorio (p.327). Leaf-verified 2026-09-28 at n148–n149: an earlier catalog line rendered the sum as «$11,322», a misreading of the pesos-reales-granos notation.
