- Previously read 1793. Corrected to 1792. The dateline on leaf n167 reads «1792 - Octre 5 = Loreto»; the numeral was confirmed by comparing the glyph with the 2s in «$240.2 rs» four lines below on the same leaf.
The originals of these records burned in the 1906 San Francisco fire. What survives is Thomas Savage’s 1870s copy, and this page describes that copy.
