Borrador. Verbatim: 'Que no le ha sido posible hacer el reconocimiento de los parajes a proposito p.a fundar nuevas Misiones en las Fronteras de la Gentilidad de aquella Peninsula, p.r estar a 300 leguas y no poderse trasladar; pero q.e destino al Alferez de aquella Comp.a quien se encuentra en el reconocim.to con las respectivas instrucciones.' Gloss: he could not personally reconnoitre sites for new missions on the gentile frontier of the peninsula, being 300 leagues away and unable to travel, so he detailed the company's alferez, now engaged in the reconnaissance under instructions. Directly prefigures the Oct 1796 informe at n4.
