«Una noticia comunicada por el Comandte Don Fernando de Rivera y Moncada de que por Rl Orden ha pasado su residencia al Presidio de Mont. el Sor Gobr Dn Phelipe de Neve, retirándose dho Capn á Loreto.» [notice that by royal order Governor Felipe de Neve has moved his residence to the Monterey presidio, Rivera withdrawing to Loreto] — the transfer of the gubernatorial seat to Monterey. Savage adds in a smaller hand at the foot: «El mismo Neve hizo la misma comunicacion el dia 5.»
