Heading verbatim: '+ 1794 - Nov.e 13 - Mont. / Borica a Mylord Fox. GLOSS: Borica reports his arrival at Monterey, where they pass the time merrily in the company of the English, of his countryman Alava, and of the frigate captain Fidalgo; the climate is healthy, more cold than temperate; there is food, but what astonishes is the general fecundity in rational and irrational creatures alike. The '(sic)' is Savage own. The same correspondent is identified on scan n227 as 'Manuel Merino. (a) Milord Fox.'
