Spans n535–n536. Subject 'Sobre postas'. 'Dice que en la jurisd.n de San Diego no se pueden establecer postas, por ser los pastos débiles y de poca duracion — por lo que toca á caballos, los hay abundantes; pero por la poca subsist.a de pasto, hay necesidad de retirarlos 6, 8 y 10 leguas fuera de los tránsitos.' Gloss: relay stations are impossible around San Diego because pasture is thin and short-lived; horses are plentiful but must be pastured 6–10 leagues off the road.
