(top, cont., pp.82-84): tail of a report on the murder of a padre [I believe = Fr. Miguel López, Sto Tomás — cf. Tomo X doc 477] — 'culpables de haber matado al referido padre sin más armas q.e sus propias manos, resultando la india q.e dio parte al cabo, ser la más culpable'; + 'las continuas fatigas de la tropa y el corto número de ella para cuidar el orden y seguridad.' Then 1803 Loreto borradores: Aug 29 (p.85): empleo de Capitán á José Font, Teniente á Simón Suárez; auxilios á RRPP de Monterey. Aug 30 (p.86): 'adjunta estados de ambas Californias.' Sep 1 (pp.87-88): instancia de la viuda del Coronel [Pedro] Alberni; arribo de fragata *Concepción* procedente de Manila.
