Verbatim heading: '1830. Gloss: Solis, from the National Camp, to the Comandante General of this Territory. That is: the troops will not surrender their arms until their back pay is settled; if the Comandante General wishes to take depositions he may name a suitable place, and Solis will bring four soldiers and a corporal to state their grievances so that it may be seen whether the fault lies with the Comandante General or his subordinates; and if he wishes to open hostilities they are ready to stand their ground. A letter from the revolt camp itself, written while the rising was still armed.
