Rosario / Riesgo - á Herrera - sobre acusar al Comandte Genl de Cals por mal versacion de intereses públicos' English gloss: order that the sub-commissary formalise a criminal accusation against the commanding officer of the Californias and the habilitados for embezzlement of public funds. Substance: makes known an order of the Ministro de Hacienda of 24 de Mayo transcribing a communication of the Ministro de Guerra y Marina of the 22nd, consequent on the oficio the Comisario General addressed to the Ministerio de Hacienda 'acusando al Comandante principal de las Califs de malversacion de los intereses de la Nacion, y de omiso en el cumpto de sus deberes;' the President accordingly disposed that 'el Subcomisario de Cals debe realizar en forma la acusacion de los cargos que le resultan al Comandte referido y á los habilitados, para que teniéndolos á la vista pueda entonces el Gobo proceder contra ellos.' In view of that the Comisario General directs Herrera that 'con toda la justificacion posible formalice la acusacion, teniendo presente que ni puede ni debe disimular ningun acto en que la Nacion, la Hacda, y las atribuciones de Vd hayan sido perjudicadas.' The leaf names only 'el Comandante principal de las Califs'; it does not name the officer.
