“Remite á M. Cota y lo manda engrillar.” = remits M[iguel] Cota to a regidor and orders him put in irons. Heading gives the place as San Diego although Carrillo acts here as alcalde of Los Angeles [flagged, not resolved]. Directly precedes the Mayo 10 jurisdiction fight at p.487-88 over removing that same shackle.
