Transcribes a Ministerio de lo Interior order of 24 October [1840]: for the extraordinary draft lottery to fill the permanent army corps and the active militia created by the decree of 12 June, the President orders the departmental govt to remit the census of its population so the Ministerio de la Guerra can fix each department's quota of men. 'el sorteo estraordinario que debe verificarse pª cubrir las bajas de los Cuerpos permanentes del Ejercito, y formar la de milicia activa.'
