(a) Close of the Ag.to 15 tallow bando, p. 614, with its publication and archiving clause and the local certification, verbatim: '...entender, y cumplido pasara V. copia certificada para el archivo de ese pueblo, y puesta á continuacion la costancia de su publicidad me la debolvera = Es copia de su original de q.e certifico Pueblo de San José 18 Ag.to de 1818 - Luis Peralta'. This is direct evidence of a working pueblo archive at San José and of Peralta certifying copies into it. (b) '1818. Ag.to 21. Mont. / Sola al Com.do del Pueblo.', p. 615: the vecindario's petition on the matanza of ganados Mostrencos received, and since he says he leaves Monday for this presidio he is to bring lists of the head of cattle each individual possesses chichihuo and holds in the rodeo, and another list of those who have neither. (c) Obre 8, p. 616: all fit invalids belonging to this Company to come to this presidio with the arms they have, and likewise the fit licenciados.
