GLOSS: on converting the Diputacion into a Junta Departamental, and the writ of election. SUBSTANCE (verbatim): 'No habiendo recibido ley alguna directa para variar la E. Diputacion en Junta Depart.l y pasandose la epoca que debieron verificarse las eleccs. para la renovacion de dha Ex.ma Corporacion, he tenido a bien disponer el primero Domingo del prox.o Oct.bre se celebren las eleccs. primarias, y en el inmediato siguiente las segundarias, a fin de que el 16 de Nov.bre se hallan en esta capital reunidos los C.C. electores, observandose en todo lo prevenido p.r ley de 12 de Julio de 1830, no debiendo verificarse las de diputados al congreso g.l por hallarse declarado Constituyente.' The convocation that assembled electors at Monterey for 16 November 1836, on the eve of the Alvarado pronunciamiento, issued because no law had yet arrived converting the Diputacion into a centralist Junta Departamental.
