New Savage block heading on the leaf: 'x 1833. S.bre. 30. Santa Bárb.a pp 492. 93. / José Figueroa al Alc.de Const.al de S. José.' Entry verbatim: 'Que en los padrones del censo de las poblaciones se esprese en ellos el nombre, patria, edad, estado y profesion de cada habitante, con arreglo á la órn. de 17. Ag.to 1830.' (Savage writes 'esprese'.) [= that in the census padrones of the settlements there be expressed the name, birthplace, age, marital state and profession of each inhabitant, in accordance with the order of 17 August 1830.] Specifies the field structure of the Californio padrón and cites its authorising order.
