'Buques ingleses en Bodega' — see Entry 9. ✎✓ RE-READ AT FULL RESOLUTION 2026-09-24 (n66–n67): four catalog errors corrected. So: an Indian 'de las Islas' came before the presidio and reported two ships at Bodega. ✎ They had been there FOUR MOONS (*4 lunas*), not four days, and were NO LONGER THERE (*no permanecían á la presente*). ✎ They asked the Indians for cattle **showing them CATTLE HORNS** (*astas de res*) — not otters. ✎ The English identification is Sal's own inference from the clothing (*de q.e colegí serían ingleses*), not something the informant said. *Vueltas* is most likely the uniform's turned-back facings. ⭐ The whole report stands inside Savage's quotation marks: this is the dossier's most substantial passage in the writer's own words.
