Legislative Records, tomo I · BANC MSS C-A 59, document 62

Previously uncatalogued — recovered by the 2026-08-27 coverage audit: the document lay inside the declared span of a grouped entry covering n287-n301, which had passed every completeness check while concealing it. Heading verbatim: '+ 1832 - Enº 20 - Sn Diego. / Juan Bandini á la Diputacion Territorial.' [= 1832, January 20, San Diego. Juan Bandini to the Territorial Diputación.] Bandini asks the Diputación to take the measures needed to repay the $1,600 loan that the interim Jefe Político José María de Echeandía raised for Victoria's embarkation, the money having been raised among private individuals and in part from the municipal funds of Los Angeles. This is the FISCAL half of the Victoria deportation that the existing catalogue misses: the $1,600 of the Pocahontas contract was not treasury money but a forced private and municipal loan, and this letter is the request to make the territory good for it. It stands third in a five-document Bandini sequence on these leaves whose original-page cites ascend 506-13 → 514-15 → 516-7 → 518-9 → 521.
