Legislative Records, tomo I · BANC MSS C-A 59, document 64

Previously uncatalogued — recovered by the 2026-08-27 coverage audit: the document lay inside the declared span of a grouped entry covering n287-n301, which had passed every completeness check while concealing it. Heading verbatim: '+ 1831 - Enº 11 - Sn Diego. / Rodigo del Pliego á Juan Bandini.' [= [1831 as written] January 11, San Diego. Rodigo [= Rodrigo] del Pliego to Juan Bandini.] Savage's whole abstract, verbatim: 'Le dice qᵉ ha entregado á Tomas Shaw, sobrecargo de la Fragata 'Pocahontas' $100. pr su pasaje (de del Pliego) - p. 521.' Del Pliego tells Bandini that he has handed Tomas Shaw, supercargo of the frigate Pocahontas, $100 for his passage — the parenthesis is Savage's own clarification that the passage was del Pliego's own, not Victoria's. A short receipt-note, but it establishes that the Pocahontas carried at least one paying passenger besides the deposed governor's party, and it fixes Shaw as the man taking the money.

Dateheading reads '1831'; see issues — the content dates it to the January 1832 Pocahontas voyage and I flag 1832 as INFERENCE, not fact (year)
