PRESIDIAL ACCOUNTS AND TITHES. «Que manda las cuentas del año 1789 con lista del maiz inutilisado y cantidades con que cada individuo ha contribuido en los diezmos. Que manda libranza de lo que le resultó líquido». Savage then reports the original's marginal note explicitly: «(Este documento lleva en margen): -Se remitió la cuenta y libranza á las Cajas del Rosario en 10 de febrero de 91- (sic)». The routing of the Santa Barbara account and draft to the Cajas del Rosario is the fiscally significant detail; the list of spoiled maize and of each individual's tithe contribution is a per-person fiscal document worth chasing in the original.
