Lopez de Aro, en q.e participa le fué preciso rendir los palos p.r haberle cogido un temporal el 19 de Set.e frente á Isla del Carmen’ [forced to strike/lose her masts in a gale off Isla del Carmen]; she could not reach Loreto ‘p.r lo muy maltratada q.e quedó su embarcación’. Sent three vessels to her aid: goleta S.ta Saturnina, la Loretana and the Javeque, the Alférez Habilitado D. Yldefonso Bernal going in the first to take charge of the cargo, warned of the risk ‘p.r no haber depósito propio en la Paz y ser tiempo de aguas’.
