Margin. Heading: “sobre prision de gentiles y aprestos de estos pa. ir á pelear.” Abstract: “Comunica qe. el soldado José Sanchez, encargado de escolta de Sta. Cruz, le avisa haber regresado á ella 9 indios qe. fueron á la Sierra pr. órden de Alferez Pablo Cota, los qe. trajeron ocho id prisioneros, y al cabecilla llamado Pella, y creé (el soldado) qe. es preciso se remitan á Monterrey”; the alférez answered it must follow “disposiciones del Alferez Cota, incorporando al Gentil Himelente y cristiana Ballena (prostituta) fugada del Carmelo”; and reports “los gentiles de la Sierra estan haciendo flechas pa. ir á pelear á aquella Mision (no dice cual)”.
