SESSION ACTA Heading verbatim: '1834. = Julio 19 = Mont. / Diputacion del Territorio. = Sesion del dia de la fecha' [= 1834, July 19, Monterey. Diputacion del Territorio. Session of this day.] STRADDLER. The heading and opening stand at the foot of n10 (the last leaf of catalog band d1) and the acta closes at the head of n11 (the first leaf of band d2), so it is caught between two grouped entrys and has no record of its own. Opens 'Leidas y aprobadas las tres antecedentes actas se dio cuenta con un proyecto de los Sres. Carrillo (D. J. A.) relativo á administradores de Misiones en g.l del territorio.' On the motion of its authors the second reading was dispensed with, its propositions were approved, and it was ordered passed to the comision de Misiones; the act being concluded the session was raised. This is the procedural origin of the whole secularization run that follows: the Carrillo project for lay administrators in the missions enters the comision here. Closes 'p 12.' The upper half of n10 carries the close of the PRECEDING acta (band d1), on the expediente ordered drawn up against 'el S. Fr Antonio Anzar' for 'mala vertacion de intereces', for which Capt. Don Santiago Argüello had been commissioned and which he had only now remitted (his oficio of the 20th of the previous month, pleading a natural oversight); ordered passed to the comision de misiones. That acta cites 'pp 11 = 12' and is signed 'José Figueroa = José Maldonado'.
