SESSION ACTA Heading verbatim: '+ 1834.= Mayo 27 = Mont. / Diputacion = Sesion del dia de la fecha' [= 1834, May 27, Monterey. Diputación. Session of this day's date. (Marginal mark is '+', not the 'o' used on every other session in this band.)] ⭐ The ayuntamiento-creation dictamen and a Pío Pico incident. Figueroa laid before the house official communications from various Estados addressed to the Gefatura Política, containing 'nombramientos de varios funcionarios', which were read. The comisión de Gobº y Policía reported on Carlos Carrillo's motion for the formation of the Ayuntamiento de Sta Barbara together with the Gefe Político's excitación that the petition be extended to the Presidio de San Diego, concluding with the article: 'Que el Gefe Político mandará instruir espedientes de los pueblos á que se refiere su comunicacion de 4 del actual de manera que queden evacuados los requicitos de que trata el artº 1º Cap 2º del decreto de 23 de Junio de 813'; taken as a first reading. This is the procedural root of the San Diego and Santa Bárbara ayuntamiento decree that the catalog records separately at n190. ⭐ Sr Haro then moved that, the 'impedimento físico' of the 2º vocal PÍO PICO for attending sessions being already known, the corporation should summon the suplente SANTIAGO ESTRADA. Figueroa asked that Haro's motion be REJECTED; the President's request was admitted and the session was immediately lifted.
