SESSION ACTA Heading verbatim: 'o 1834 = Junio 16 = Mont. / Diputacion Provincial = Sobre terrenos renuncia del Srio. &ª' [= 1834, June 16, Monterey. Provincial Deputation. On lands; resignation of the Secretary, etc.] Previous acta read and approved. Correspondence: oficio of the Comte Militar of San Francisco stating there is no surplus of municipal funds at that point and that he had sent the account to the Secretary of the Corporación (left pending). Two further land expedientes granted by the Gefatura Política: the 1st to C. Juan Alvarez, 'llamado la Laguna'; the 2nd to C. Ygnacio Martinez, 'el llamado el Pinole'; both to the comisiones unidas de colonización y terrenos valdíos. The Comisión de Gobº y policía reported on Salvio Pacheco's petition (referred at the previous session with a recommendation of preference) and proposed the article, approved as presented after the tramites were dispensed on Carrillo's (D C.) motion: that the Alcalde of Sn José de Guadalupe, in obedience to art. 6 of the Bando de Policía de los Pueblos agreed by this Corporación on 12 September 827, mark out for the petitioner a proportioned site in the contorno de los ejidos where he may build corrals and reduce his stock 'como si hubiera rancho'. The Secretary then reported the San Diego commandant's account and libramiento of municipal-duty receipts; resolved that the account be returned to the commandant so he may remit it to the Gefe Político as required by circular, and that the libramiento be presented to the habilitado for collection and entry in the Tesorería. Discussion of the Comisión de Gobº y Policía's dictamen on the Secretary's representación of 12 del corriente resigning his post (referred to in the previous acta): admitted in general, but Carrillo asked that resolution be suspended until the two absent vocales arrive; Castro urged the Secretary, who in effect consented to wait for their arrival, which he supposes will be very soon. Session adjourned.
