SESSION ACTA Heading verbatim: 'o 1834. = Junio 28 = Mont. / Diputacion Territorial Sobre consecion de terreno, Suspencion de obcervancia de Bando de 6 de Enº 1833.' [= 1834, June 28, Monterey. Territorial Deputation. On the granting of land; suspension of the observance of the proclamation of 6 January 1833. (Marginal mark: a small 'o'. Date checked at magnification: '28' unambiguous; the year in the subject line reads 1833.)] LAND. An expediente in favour of 'el C. Luis Arenas', to whom the Gefatura Politica had granted 'el terreno conocido con el nombre de Sn Felipe', referred to the joint commissions of Colonizacion y terrenos valdios. A representacion of 'el C. Joaquin Bernal' touching 'el Sitio de Sta Tereza', referred to the commissions holding the antecedents. BANDO. The commission of Gobierno reports on the bando published by the Alcalde of the capital on 6 January of the preceding year; admitted in general. Art. 1: 'El Sr Gefe Politico mandará suspender la obcervancia del Bando de 6 de Enero del año ppdo publicado por el Alcalde de este Puerto y del Pueblo de Sn José de 10 de Mayo antor.' Approved. Art. 2: only those articles remain in force that can emanate from the governing authority of both authorities. Carrillo (D.J.A.) would send the expediente back so the commission could specify which articles could take effect; Carrillo (D.C.) answers that the commission leaves this to the faculty of the Gefe Politico and the alcalde, each acting within his powers while the Supreme Government resolves the attributions of the ayuntamientos. Sr. Dn José Antonio asks whether approving such bandos is the corporation's attribution at all. The President answers that enacting 'bandos de Policia y buen gobierno de lo interior de los Pueblos' is the peculiar attribution of the Gefe Politico and the ayuntamientos, that this one came before the Deputation by way of consulta, and that the proposer is not well instructed in the expediente; the discussion is suspended to another session. SECRETARY / MEMBERSHIP. First reading of the Gobierno commission's dictamen on the appointment of Srio. del Juzgado made by the Ayuntamiento of San José de Guadalupe. A representacion from 'el Sr Haro' asking to be separated from the corporation, grounded on 'los considerables atrasos que padesen sus intereses de donde tiene su subsistencia y su crédito comprometido con algunas deudas', referred to the commission of Gobierno y Policia. Castro presses that the appointment of a secretary, cited in the previous acta, be proceeded with; the President requires the proposition in writing, and himself moves that the trámites de Reglamento be dispensed with for the first proposition and that the second reading go to a commission. Referred to the commission of Reglamento y ordenanzas Municipales; session rises.
