SESSION ACTA Heading verbatim: '+ 1834. = Julio 5. = Mont. / Diputacion Territorial. = Sobre asignacion de Sueldo á Srio. de la Diputacion &ª' [= 1834, July 5, Monterey. Territorial Deputation. On the assignment of a salary to the Secretary of the Deputation, etc. (Marginal mark: '+'. This entry is a Savage ABSTRACT, not a full copy: it opens 'Dice:'.)] Pendiente pª proxima Sesion. Dictamen de Comision de reglamento y Ordenanzas Municipales, relativo á sueldo de Srio. de Diputacion, señalandosele $50 mensales. Aprobado.' Two decisions, both checked at magnification: (1) Joaquín Bernal's petition for the place he calls 'Sayanta' is returned by the joint Colonizacion / terrenos valdios commissions and left pending to the next session; Savage writes the placename inside quotation marks and writes 'conceida' for conceda. (2) The Deputation's secretary is voted a salary of $50 a month, and it is approved. Note the arithmetic against the previous sessions: the President's original proposition, first read on 1 July, had been for $600 a year (n143); $50 a month is the same figure carried into effect.
