SESSION ACTA Heading verbatim: 'o 1834. = Julio 3 = Mont. / Diputacion Territorial, Sobre terrenos &ª' [= 1834, July 3, Monterey. Territorial Deputation. On lands, etc. (Marginal mark: 'o'. The day digit was checked at magnification against Savage's other 3s and 5s in this run: it is a 3.)] LAND. The commission of Colonizacion joined to that of terrenos valdios reports on the lands granted to 'los C. C. Juan Alvarez y Joaquin Bernal'. The President says he could declare it a first reading, but since another dictamen stands ready for discussion and this one concerns 'un sitio que de hecho no existe', he asks the commission, if it pleases, to withdraw it for amendment; Carrillo (D. Carlos), as a member and in the commission's name, agrees, and the expediente goes back. First reading of a dictamen from the same commissions returning the expediente promoted by 'el C. Luis Arenas' over the land called San Felipe; second reading of the one from the commission of Reglamento y ordenanzas Municipales on the President's proposition on the secretary's salary, discussion set for the next session. SAN JOSÉ JUDGESHIP. The dictamen of the commission of Gobierno y policia on the request of the Juzgado de 1ª instancia of San José that the Ayuntamiento's appointment of a secretary be approved is discussed in general and approved unanimously. Proposition 2: in that last case the Ayuntamiento must prefix the salary the respective secretary is to enjoy, so that its approval or disapproval may be dealt with; also approved. FUNDS. The President, 'con respecto á carecer esta Corporacion de fondos disponibles pª ocurrir á los precisos é indispensables gastos', urges the commissions on arbitrios to hurry their work; Carrillo (Dn J.A.), as a member, offers to report at the next session. Nothing further, session rises.
