Territorial Deputation (session record).] Prior acta approved; account taken of various dictámenes on lands. Then the resolution: 'Que se coloque retrato de finado Gral Figueroa en el Salon de Sesiones de la Diputacion, en prueva de aprecio por su distingudo mérito' (that the portrait of the late General Figueroa be placed in the Deputation's session hall, in proof of esteem for his distinguished merit). This is the Diputación's FIRST commemorative act for Figueroa, thirteen days after his death, and it stands a month and more before the 'monumento á la memoria del finado Gral José Figueroa' of 21 November 1835 that the catalog already holds at n271. It also ties the Sala de Sesiones documents on n230-n231 (Figueroa's own room, its furnishing, its 'adorno') into a single thread.
