SESSION ACTA Heading verbatim: '+ 1835. = Octubre 10º = Mont. / Diputacion Territorial' [= 1835, October 10, Monterey. Territorial Deputation (session record).] Prior acta approved. Two items, both on public schooling: (1) 'una Solicitud del Maestro de Stª Clara renunciando su destino. Se mandó pasar á la Comision de Gob.n' (the schoolmaster of Santa Clara resigning his post; referred to the Committee on Gobernación); (2) 'pretencion que hace de preceptoria de Sn Buena Bentura Ignacio Coronel. Paso á Com.n de Gob.n' (Ignacio Coronel's claim to the preceptorship of San Buenaventura; likewise referred). Ignacio Coronel is the Hijar-Padrés colonist schoolmaster; this is a dated legislative trace of the colony's teachers being placed in mission-pueblo schools. The first session after Figueroa's death.
