Legislative Records, tomo III–IV · BANC MSS C-A 61, document 177

Previously uncatalogued — recovered by the 2026-08-27 coverage audit: it lay inside the span of a grouped entry covering n156-n190, which satisfied every coverage check while concealing it. Heading verbatim: '+ 1845. - Mayo 19 - Angˢ / (Sesion de este dia.)' [= 1845, May 19, Los Angeles. Session of this day.] Second reading of the timber dictamen, approved. First reading of the Comision de terrenos dictamen approving the grant made to Juan J. Warner of the parage of San Jose by the Colonel of the Department. Petitions of Antº Suñol y socios (division of the tract called Valle de San Jose) and of C. Antº Machado (complaining the Ayuntamiento had stripped him of land in the suburbs of the city of Los Angeles). This is a US-war alarm reaching the Asamblea in MAY 1845, roughly eleven weeks earlier than the August 4 alarm that record d167 is built around, and it arrives by a different channel (the Captain of the Port of San Diego, not the Monterey consul's letters from Mazatlan).
