Legislative Records, tomo III–IV · BANC MSS C-A 61, document 214

Previously uncatalogued — recovered by the 2026-08-27 coverage audit: the document lay inside the declared span of a grouped entry covering n216-n245, which had passed every completeness check while concealing it. Heading verbatim: '+ Oct. 8 - (Sesion &.)' [= 1845, October 8, Los Angeles. Session, etc.] The band's closing and second-longest unit, six leaves. Second reading of the Comision de Gobierno dictamen on the proposition against cattle theft, whose articles 5 to 8 Savage transcribes on n242-n243 (regulation of hides and slaughter). Then seven Comision de Baldios dictamenes granting or reporting lands on n244: Agua Caliente to Lazaro Pina, Las Flores to Guillermo Chard, Rio de los Molinos to Alberto G. Toomes, La Barranca to Josias Belden, Los Saucos to Roberto H. Thomes, Colus to Juan Bidwell, Llano Seco to Sebastian Keyser. Then the La Jabonera land petition, and finally on n245 the decree suspending the Assembly's sessions for the remainder of the year, which is what the bando on n246 promulgates. Runs n241 to the top of n246.

The originals of these records burned in the 1906 San Francisco fire. What survives is Thomas Savage’s 1870s copy, and this page describes that copy.
