“el revelde Ant.o Castro salió de S. José del lado de los conjurados, convencidos de que los tenian engañados” — the Jefe Político sent him here with the pueblo for a prison; Moreno has made the alcalde examine him to furnish material for the sumario being drawn up, and fined him 200 pesos “para que otra ocacion no se deje seducir”. Adds “que los fuegos se han roto”, and urgently begs ammunition, “parque que les hace terrible falta”.
