- Previously read Estado de fuerza Oct. n87 (stamp 91, ink 90) carries THREE PADRONES, none of them catalogued: «1794 Dic. 31 S.n José / Gabriel Moraga. Padron de los habitantes del pueblo de S.n Jose de Guadalupe» — 84 inhabitants, 18 casados, 30 solteros, 17 solteras, 1 viuda (pp.272–273); «1803 Dic. 23 Villa de Branciforte / Ignacio Vallejo» — 101 almas, 16 casados, 42 solteros, 26 solteras, 1 viuda (p.274); and «1794 Dic. 31 S.n José / Moraga. Vasallos de S.n José» — 34 españoles, 16 indios, 22 mestizos, 12 de color quebrado (p.275). Not an October 1795 estado de fuerza.
The originals of these records burned in the 1906 San Francisco fire. What survives is Thomas Savage’s 1870s copy, and this page describes that copy.
