- Previously read Extracto de revista Dec; year-end estado de fuerza. The claimed original pages fall inside Arrillaga's reconnaissance diary. Savage's own bracketing citations fix this stretch: the San Ildefonso alliance extract closes on n90 (stamp 94) at «pp. 276-278», and Arrillaga's «Diario de los reconocimientos que verificó el teniente coronel que suscribe en la Frontera de la gentilidad de la antigua California y márgenes del Colorado» (headed «1796 = Diciembre 9 = S.n Vicente») closes on n96 (stamp 100) at «pp. 279-345». Original pages 279–345 are therefore consumed by that one diary, and no Sal monthly report can sit inside them. On the leaves this row is bound to: n100 (stamp 104) carries pp. 359-364, all Sal to Borica of 1796 Marzo 30 on the bando and on money delivered to lieutenant colonel Manuel Carcaba. No year-end estado de fuerza.
The originals of these records burned in the 1906 San Francisco fire. What survives is Thomas Savage’s 1870s copy, and this page describes that copy.
