- Previously read summary: 'Monthly Jun; Raymundo cross-bay expedition — sends soldiers across bay to investigate Indian resistance; reports from Mission San José'; orig_page: 'p.41–46'; scan: 'n207–208'. n207 (stamp 213 / ink 16) carries the tail of Fr. Isidro Barcenilla's letter (p.48) and Arguello's 20 June request to the ministers of Mision de S.n Jose for a report on the expedition; n208 (stamp 214 / ink 17) carries p.50 and Arguello on the annual padron formulario (p.51). The Raymundo material is genuinely in this stretch, but the leaf says the mission sent 'como treinta o cuarenta Indios al mando de Raymundo el Californio en solicitud de los cristianos fugitivos', not that Arguello sent soldiers across the bay, and the pages are pp.48-51, not the claimed pp.41-46.
The originals of these records burned in the 1906 San Francisco fire. What survives is Thomas Savage’s 1870s copy, and this page describes that copy.
